Our new abode

January 11th , 2016 was an auspicious day and a memory to cherish forever! Our CapeStart family moved in to a three storey home in the heart of Nagercoil City. Though the move was decided a long time ago, we were all looking forward to this day with excitement to hit our new work space, new cafeteria, new everything!

How was the energy, you ask? Well, the first floor was filled with all our employees – eagerly waiting for our CEO, Gaugarin Oliver to come and do the honours of opening the new office. He arrived on the dot, holding on to a lot of promises and hope to a successful career for each and every one of us.

We started the ceremony with a prayer, thanking God for his blessings in making this possible and then Mr. Oliver’s Mom cut the ribbon and shed us all a very bright future.

Our proud CEO led us in to the new floor and we were so happy to see how amazing the work space was. I doubt if we have any other company in Nagercoil with an environment like this.

As we all gathered on the work floor, our CEO lighted the lamp (Kuthuvilakku in Tamil) for good luck and was then lit by his mother in the most delightful presence of Mr. Edward Smith, Managing Director at CapeStart, Kavin Xavier, Director of Technology at CapeStart and few other important people from the community.

Soon, there was a meeting arranged with our CEO where he gave us a speech on his career and on being a successful entrepreneur. The challenges and opportunities he encountered in his life and why or how he got the idea of starting a business in his home town simply awed us all and it was a very proud feeling we experienced.

He shared his goal and vision for CapeStart and ensured a successful career for each and every one of us. One of his main goals mentioned was to make CapeStart a 1000 employee company within a few years – WOW!! He addressed ALL questions that were put forward at that time and made the meeting simply awesome!!

Later in the day we had a grand lunch organised by the management and was followed by a photo session.

I must say, right after the first half of the day every employee couldn’t wait to hit their new work place to begin the work for the day. After all, the first day should be a complete day, right?

Now, Cape Start is a dream company for many people out there and we are proud to be one of the top most IT Companies in our community. We appreciate and welcome anyone who is willing to pursue a successful career both for themself and for the company. We are proud to be a role model for the next IT Company in the Cape, INDIA
